Other projects

As of 2006 the Association takes an active part at the International Vilnius Book Fair where it traditionally holds two events: Celebrities Read and the Book of the Year Award Ceremony.

Furthermore, the Association is closely involved with wider issues to do with literacy. In 2009 it carried out the secondary assessment of Lithuanian students’ literacy performance according to the international Program for International Student Assessment (PISA).

In 2016 the Association will launch a new literary festival “November Leaves” that aims at promoting the work of the biggest national and international literary prize-winners bringing them closer to Lithuanian readers.

The Association is planning another initiative that will bring people who love reading together with those who, for a number of reasons, have difficulty reading, are lonely or suffer from social exclusion.
